The Director of Callaway R&D wanted to improve the cycle time of new product introduction, reduce the iterations to deliver a new design to the manufacturing operations and improve the market's response to new product. Goldmark delivered customised Champion training to the leadership of the R&D organisation and customised Green Belt training to the entire R&D staff (120 members), including the Director of R&D. Goldmark also provided input on customised training for technicians, and was instrumental in the development of a certification procedure for Green Belts. "Goldmark delivered what they promised. Actaris

The Actaris facility in Goldmark was asked to team with the Actaris Managers of Quality and Design to investigate the many issues and develop remedies to improve outgoing quality and reduce internal costs. Goldmark's approach was a combination of hands on investigation in the factory as well as training key Actaris staff members in Six Sigma methodology. Goldmark developed a unique approach to the application of Measurement System Analysis that was more suited to the complexity of their outgoing performance measurement process. Additional tools that Goldmark applied toward the success of the project included Process Mapping, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, and application of MiniTab software. The results included revised manufacturing processes, redesigns based on analysis of critical variables, significant quality cost reductions, and restored confidence in their customer base.
